William R Bracke

BRACKE,

William R., devoted husband of 61 years to the late Aline Bracke.  Loving father of Chris (Sherri) Bracke and cherished grandpa of Christopher W. (Jennifer) and Timothy A. (Emily) Bracke.  He passed peacefully on May 7, 2014 at the age of 87.  Bill was born April 10, 1927 in Covington, KY.  He was educated in Catholic Schools through high school.  He served in the U.S.N.R. in WWII from 1944 to 1946.  Continued his education at the University of Cincinnati and 7 other colleges and universities.  Entered the Cincinnati Police Division on January 28, 1952 and rose through the ranks to Assistant Police Chief, he retired in 1986. He was the Past President of FBI National Academy Associates and Past Master of Cincinnati Lafayette Lodge # 81.  Friends and family are invited to a visitation Wednesday evening from 5-8 PM, with FOP and F&AM Lodge #81 Services at 7:30 PM and a funeral service Thursday 12 Noon at the Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home 2880 Boudinot Avenue (Westwood).
