Sophie G. Guethlein

Sophia G. Guethlein (nee Economopulos) wife of the late Stanley F. Guethlein, loving mother of Patricia (Fr. Angelo) Artemas, and Stephanie Guethlein McElroy.  Dear grandmother “Yiayia” of Katie, Maria and Eleni Artemas and Katherine (Kira) and Sophia McElroy.  Loving sister of Christina (the late George) Bender and the late Konstantinos (Deno) Economopulos.  She is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.  

She was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity – St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, where she lovingly volunteered her time, talents and treasures on the Parish Council, Panegyri, and Over 50’s Club.  For nearly 70 years, she was an active member of the Greek Orthodox Philoptochos Society, the Daughters of Penelope, Calypso Chapter 13 and The Agios Demetrios Society.  

Passed on to eternal life Monday, October 19, 2015.  Visitation Thursday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dalbert Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home, 2880 Boudinot Avenue at Queen City.  Funeral Service Friday, October 23, 11 a.m., Holy Trinity – Greek Orthodox Church, 7000 Winton Road.
