Sean P. Gallagher, a devoted soul mate, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on August 8, 2025, in Edgewood, Kentucky, at the age of 52. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on November 20, 1972, Sean remained a proud Cincinnatian throughout his life, deeply engrained in the community he loved.
Sean's unwavering devotion to his family and friends was one of his most admirable qualities. He is survived by his loving soul mate, Patti Burd; his father Daniel (Denise) Gallagher; his in-laws, Ken and Patty Burd; and his daughter, Emily (Zach) Hoover. Sean was a cherished grandfather or "Poppy" to Melina Mattingly, Rylee Hale, and Ayden Hale. He also leaves behind his stepson Bryan Hale and stepdaughter Olivia Hale, as well as siblings Tanya Gallagher, Michael Gallagher, and Bryan Gallagher. He is further survived by his special cousin, Anthony Smith, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends who will remember him for his warm spirit and kind heart.
Sean was a man of many interests, with a passion for cooking that brought family and friends together around the dinner table. He was also an avid golfer, often seen on the greens, enjoying the game he loved. Notably, Sean was the biggest fan of the Cincinnati Bengals.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Sheryl Gallagher (nee Bernard), whose memory he carried with him always.
A visitation will be held on August 15, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM at the Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home, located at 2880 Boudinot Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45238. Burial to follow at St. Joseph New Cemetery.
Sean will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his legacy of love and dedication will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he left behind.
