Robert William Maurer

Beloved husband of 62 years to Jean Maurer (nee Canter). Loving father of Tracey (Roger) Weber and Wade Maurer. Cherished grandfather of David Grant Weber. Adored brother of Sherry (Mark Steven) Brackey.

Robert was born on August 6, 1938 to the late Robert and Vera Maurer. He served with the Tanker Armed Division in the US Army. Robert worked at CG&E and eventually Duke Energy before retiring in 1997 after 40 years. He had an extensive collection of old movies on DVD that he loved watching, especially western and war movies. He also loved reading books and magazines about the Civil War and World War ll.

He passed away October 16, 2023, at the age of 85.

Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 11:00 am until the time of the Blessing Service at 1:00 pm. All services will be held at Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home (2880 Boudinot Ave.)

Burial to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
