With heavy hearts, we regret to inform you that Robert C. “Bob” Richter passed away at the age of 94. He had a peaceful transition where he was surrounded by his family. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Dorothy T. Richter (nee Schill); his loving children, Teresa Gilligan, Sharon Knecht, Deanna Miller and son-in-law Tim Miller; his adored grandchildren, Sharon Richter, Teresa (Barker) Green, Daniel Barker, Marlena Barker, Caitlin (Wetsch) Winstanley, Andrew Wetsch, Olivia Wetsch and Lauren Wetsch, and 7 adored great grandchildren.

Bob was a Navy Veteran who proudly served our country during the Korean War as a corpsman at the Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. He also represented the Navy as a gifted athlete on the baseball and basketball teams. Bob’s quick wit and humor will be missed. In addition to being a respected science teacher in the Reading and Oak Hills School Districts, he enjoyed sharing his passion for the outdoors, especially bass fishing.
