Nicholas “Niko” J. Kokaliaris

Beloved husband of Angel Kokaliaris. Loving father of Fran (George) Moustakis, John Kokaliares, Toni (Tyrone) Davidson and Demetrios Kokaliaris. Cherished Papou of Niko (Chrissy) Kokaliares, Andreas (Carissa) Kokaliares, Angela Davidson, William Davidson, Kyle Kokaliares, Jeremiah Kokaliares, Christopher Kokaliares, Isiah Kokaliaris and the late Sophia Kokaliaris. Adored great grandfather of Skyla Kokaliares. Dear brother of Georgia, Anastasia, Antonia, Pelayia and the late Maria. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

"Nick the Greek", as he liked to be called, came to the United States over 50 years ago seeking better opportunities for his family.  He worked hard not knowing the language and with little education so that he could make a better life for his children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter. Although he was a man of faults his friends and family were oxygen to him. Nick had many friends who he loved like brothers. He loved his wife, children, sisters, his nieces and nephews and in-laws. But his greatest love was for his grandchildren and great granddaughter. To them he was their "Papou". He joked with them like calling them "Kota" or "Mafia" or asking for "give me 5". He listened to them and encouraged them. He taught them life lessons to be wise, strong, generous, thoughtful and laid back. He taught them were he came from and to be proud of their Greek Culture. But most of all he taught them that no matter what "you help friends and family".  "Philakia and we love you Niko/dad/Papou" you will truly be missed.

Niko always felt he was blessed with wealth in the form of loving family and friends.

Passed away on Tuesday March 10, 2020. Age 85 years.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Visitation on Friday Evening March 13, 2020 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home, 2880 Boudinot Ave., 45238.

A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday March 17, 2020 at 11 AM at the Holy Trinity - St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 7000 Winton Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45224.
