Nayoma "Lee" (nee Ward), loving wife of the late William E. Montgomery, devoted mother of William R. Montgomery and Susan (Deno) Koumoutsos, loving grandmother of Willy and Cheyenne Montgomery, Kelly and Amanda Koumoutsos, also survived by sisters Betty Farley, Mary Baker and Bobbie Hubbard, brothers Johnny and Keith Ward, special sister-in-law Eartha Montgomery, many nieces and nephews and a loving church family. Preceded in death by parents Roy and Elsie Ward, stepmother Fannie Ward, brother Cletus Ward, sister Carolyn Newberry and daughter-in-law Terry Montgomery. Lee was born April 23, 1924, in Pocahontas, AK. Throughout her life, she has been a loving caretaker to many. Her mother passed away when she was 14 and she cared for her younger siblings. She was a member of Oak Hills United Methodist Church. Lee had a sense of humor and continued to joke and laugh until a few days before her death. Lee loved to shop and wondered if there would be a Kohl's in Heaven. She passed away Sunday, May 4, 2008, after a year and a half battle with Leukemia, her family was by her side. Visitation Wednesday 10 AM until time of funeral service at 12 noon at Oak Hills United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church at 6069 Bridgetown Road, Cincinnati, OH, 45248, or Hospice of Cincinnati, PO Box 633597, Cincinnati, OH, 45263-3597, or the Leukemia Society SW OH Chapter, 2300 Wall Street, Suite H, Cincinnati, OH, 45212, Lee loved and was loved by many people. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew her.
