Patricia Michele Herbers, affectionately known to all as "Michele with one L", left this world unexpectedly on April 26, 2025, in Cincinnati, OH. Born on April 14, 1964, she filled her years with vibrant memories, strong connections, and a commitment to those around her. Michele was well-known as a Tournament Director for the Hoinke Classic, where she became a cherished friend to many bowlers across the nation. Her passion for the game of bowling was evident, but it was the camaraderie and relationships she cultivated that truly defined her legacy.
Michele's personality was as straightforward as it was warm-hearted. She had a unique ability to take charge of any situation, always willing to help others while steadfastly holding her ground. She was known for her unyielding spirit, ensuring that those closest to her knew when they were falling short—especially her nephews and nieces, who were not spared her discerning remarks.
In her personal life, she found immense joy in the simple pleasures. Whether it was scrolling through Facebook, watching her favorite crime shows, or simply being in the company of her family, Michele created cherished memories that will be etched in the hearts of her loved ones forever. Her family recalls how much they loved every trip and vacation shared with her, even if those adventures involved just doing nothing at all.
Michele's proudest accomplishments revolved around her son, C.J. Her heart swelled with pride for his achievements, particularly in bowling—a love she imparted to him and nurtured throughout the years. Michele's family was her pride and joy, and she remains a beloved figure in their lives, leaving behind a legacy of love and strength.
Michele was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Patricia Brown, and her beloved niece, Meghan Haunert. Though they are no longer with us, their memories intertwine with Michele's story, enriching the lives of those she leaves behind.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Jim Herbers; their son, C.J. Herbers; her sisters Vanessa (Don) Haunert, Terri (George) Moore, Rebecca (Galen) Neibarger, and Lora (Randy) Pasley; her brother Robert (Sherry) Brown; and her in-laws Irene Herbers, Jerome Herbers, Tom (Jeanne) Herbers, Margie (Mike) Rosenberry, and Frank Herbers. Michele also leaves behind numerous loving nieces and nephews who will carry her spirit forward in their hearts.
A visitation in her honor will take place on May 1, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home in Cincinnati. A blessing service will follow privately for the family. Michele may have passed on, but the essence of her life and the love she shared will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Michele always preferred to donate to charitable organizations instead of sending flowers to a funeral and in this spirit, the family has chosen two of her favorites if you wish to donate in her memory:
