Melvin P. Karnes

Melvin P. “Mel” Karnes, passed in the care of his family on January 6, 2022 at the age of 68. Mel is preceded in death by his loving wife Patricia A. Karnes. Devoted father of Paul Karnes, Matt Karnes, Tracy (Tom) Butler. Cherished papaw of P.J., D. J., Brody, Nina, Rickey, Alex, Alyssa, Saige and his special great-grandchildren Everly and Valintine. Mel was retired from Fernald where he worked as a Maintenance Supervisor and was active in the Green Township Citizen’s Police Academy. He was a true “Jack of all trades” known for his ability to build just about anything his mind could imagine.
