Marion “Mike” Sherwood Chance, 82, joined the Church Triumphant on April 4, 2016.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol L. (nee Newton) Chance.  Mike is survived by his three daughters Diane C. Hawkins, Arlene C. (Brett) Wade, Julie C. (Francis) Szovati; three grandsons Jonathan Hawkins, Kevin Wade, Andrew Szovati; three granddaughters Jessica Hawkins, Lauren Wade, Stephanie Szovati and close friends.  He served in the United States Air Force Reserves and was honorably discharged February 11, 1969 in the rank of Captain.  He will be remembered for his love of music, his beautiful tenor voice, his participation and leadership in a variety of musical programs, his quick wit and calm demeanor, his devotion to his family and church, and his faith in God.  He was loved and respected by many. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday April 9, 2016 at 4 PM at Westwood First Presbyterian Church, 3011 Harrison Avenue, Cincinnati. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Organ Fund or the Willis Beckett Music Fund both of Westwood First Presbyterian Church.
