Linda L. Whittle

Linda L. Whittle, a cherished daughter of Cincinnati, born on February 27, 1941, entered eternal rest on August 16, 2025, surrounded by the loving embrace of her family. Her journey through life was marked by an unwavering dedication not only to her profession as a licensed practical nurse but also to her family, her home, and the natural beauty of her surroundings.

Throughout her esteemed career, Linda devoted countless hours of service to both St. Francis St. George Hospital and Mercy Health. She took great pride in her contribution to the establishment of the Emmanuel Unit at the hospital, a testament to her commitment to nursing and her compassionate care for patients. Her journey was not merely a job; it was a calling that resonated in her every interaction.

Linda's memory will be lovingly preserved by her family, including her daughters Jennifer (Sean) Donovan and Julia Whittle, along with her cherished grandchildren, Dylan (Lexi) Hamblin and Jenna Hamblin. The joy of her life was further illuminated by her great-granddaughter, Ariella. She shared an affectionate bond with many special nieces, nephews, and cousins, ensuring the warmth of her spirit would echo throughout the family for generations to come.

The essence of Linda transcended her professional life, as she flourished in her personal passions. Her love of gardening brought beauty and serenity to her yard, where she spent countless days nurturing her plants and feeding the birds. The backyard gatherings she and Bill loved to host will be forever remembered by her family and friends.

Linda’s kindness was matched only by her playful demeanor, as she approached life with a fun-loving essence that endeared her to all who knew her. She found profound joy in the simple moments, whether in her nurturing role as a mother and grandmother or in sharing her adventures with her beloved dog, Kylo Ren. The steadfast bond she shared with her late husband, William "Bill" Whittle, whom she cherished for over fifty years, exemplified a love that was deep, resilient, and true.

A graduate of Western Hills High School and the St. Francis Central School of Nursing, Linda embodied the principles of hard work and dedication taught throughout her academic endeavors. She will be profoundly missed but eternally remembered for her remarkable contributions to her family and her passion for life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband William "Bill", her parents Lorraine and Herbert Glazier, her brother Gordon "Skip" Glazier, and her son-in-law Ronald Hamblin Jr. Their spirits are interwoven with her legacy, adding to the depth of love that defines her story.
