John W. affectionately known as “Jack” Smith passed peacefully after a battle with Alzheimer’s Disease February 18, 2024 at the age 78. 

 Jack is the devoted husband of the late Ann M. Smith nee Spitzlberger.   Loving father of Larry (Tammy) and Jeff (Mindy) Smith.  Cherished grandfather of Zach (Alyssa), Jake (Gaby) and Alexandria (Luke), Paxton and Brody.  Dear brother of the late Edwin and Margaret “Peg” and brother in law of the late JoAnn Scott and Mary Fulco, also survived by special nieces Becky and Michelle. 

 Jack served his country as a United States Marine, serving two tours in Vietnam and retired as a railroader, where he worked as a switchman for Norfolk Southern Railroad.

 Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 4-6 PM on Sunday February 25th, at The Dalbert Woodruff and Isenogle Funeral Home 2880 Boudinot Avenue Cincinnati, Ohio 45238 and Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM on Monday, at Saint Ignatius Church 5222 N. Bend Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45247.
