James E. Phillipps

James E. Phillipps, passed peacefully on June 2, 2022 at the age of 82.  He is the devoted husband of Barbara Phillipps nee’ Hoffman.  Loving father of Jamie (Gregg Martini) Hoffpauir and Jerrod (Candice) Phillipps.  Cherished grandfather of Madison, Savannah, Jack and Tyler.  Father-in-law of Todd Hoffpauir.  Special uncle of Charlene Hoffman. He was preceded in death by his parents: Erwin and Evelyn Phillipps and his brother Jack Phillipps. Friend of the late John Burke. 

Jim was a graduate of Western Hills High School and the University of Cincinnati, where he achieved his Bachelors and Law Degrees.  He was a strong supporter of all things U.C., especially the Athletics.  He was a long-time member of the Westwood First Presbyterian Church and Westwood Kiwanis and loved traveling to Michigan with his family and spending time outdoors fishing. 

Family and friends are invited to a visitation Friday June 10^th from 10 am until the time of funeral service at 11 am, all at the Westwood First Presbyterian Church 3011 Harrison Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45211.
