James "Jim" J. Herbers

James J. Herbers, known fondly as Jim, peacefully passed away on November 2, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospital after a brief bout with T Cell Lymphoma. Born on September 7, 1975, in Cincinnati, Jim lived a life marked by love, dedication, and warmth, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him.

A proud graduate of Elder High School and Xavier University, Jim built a successful career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), where he was well-respected by his peers for his unwavering professionalism and dedication to his work. He embodied the spirit of humility, often letting his actions speak louder than words.

A family man at heart, Jim cherished the time spent with his loved ones, creating countless memories that are treasured by those he leaves behind. Saturday night dinners were a beloved tradition, and family vacations filled with laughter and joy were among his most precious moments. Jim's passion for sports and movies provided countless opportunities for bonding with his family, especially with his late wife, Michele, and their son, C.J. He took profound pride in C.J.'s accomplishments, particularly in his bowling career.

Jim's warmth extended beyond his family; he was known as a "do anything for you" kind of guy, rarely vocal but always ready to lend a helping hand. His wit and humor could brighten any room, and even in his quietness, he possessed the biggest heart. Whether attending Elder High School football games, bowling, visiting amusement parks, or enjoying time at racetracks, Jim embraced each moment with enthusiasm and a love for life's experiences.

He is survived by his son, C.J. Herbers; his parents, Jerome and Irene Herbers; his brother, Frank Herbers; his brother Thomas and sister-in-law Jeanne Herbers; his sister, Marjorie, and brother-in-law Mike Rosenberry; his sisters-in-law Vanessa and Don Haunert, and Terri and George Moore, as well as Rebecca and Galen Neibarger, and Lora and Randy Pasley; and his brother-in-law Robert and sister-in-law Sherry Brown.

James J. Herbers was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Michele Herbers. He leaves behind not only a legacy of love and kindness but also a profound sense of family and community that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
