Hobert "Hobie" Yount

Hobert Ray Yount (Hobie) age 73, son of John Yount Sr. and Thelma (Yount) Harmon, Beloved husband of Annette (Leach) Yount, devoted father of Stephen Ray Yount, Brian Lee Yount, Jeffrey Alan Yount, Lori Ann Yount and Loving Grandfather of Chaz J. Yount. Brother of Gloria (Yount) Sanders, Wanda (Yount) Hicks, Betty (Yount) Tuchelske, Myrtle Yount, Brenda (Yount) Tomlin, John Yount Jr., Jack Yount, Paul Yount Sr., Jerry Yount and Ronald Yount Sr.

Ray Graduated in 1956' from Garret High School in Floyd Co. Ky. was very athletic and played varsity basketball, was an Airforce Veteran and served overseas in Korea. He served 29 yrs as a Cincinnati Firefighter and Retired as a Lieutenant in 1992. An aspiring musician, singer and songwriter, he recorded 2 of his songs in Nashville in 1964 and was a fan of Elvis. A Mason and member of the Shriners Clown Unit. A member of Price Hill Baptist Church and a Covedale resident since 1967.

An avid racquetball player, he played 3 days a week at Westside Racquet Club from its opening in 1978 until the day before his passing on Dec 8th, 2011.Visitation to be held Weds.Dec 14th 5-8pm at Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home 2880 Boudinot Ave.Cinti.OH 45238.
