Helen M. Crimmel

Crimmel

Helen, age 93, was called home to join her Lord on April 25, 2016, in Henderson, Nevada at the home of her eldest son, Doug, by her side. Helen was a resident of Delhi OH for 46 years before moving to Nevada in 2013. Helen was born on February 27, 1923, in Marietta, OH to Charles & Mary Mendenhall.  She graduated from high school in Seminole, OK in 1941.  After graduating from Draught’s Business College in Tulsa, OK, Helen worked in Wichita, KS, St. Louis, MO, and Long Beach, CA in the aircraft industry building airplanes for the war effort. While in Calif. she met her future husband John Crimmel, a US sailor from Marietta, OH. Helen and her family moved from Southern California to Cincinnati, in 1967 and settled in Delhi Township.  She was a retiree of Emery Industries where she worked in various capacities for 20 years.  Helen was an avid sports fan, especially golf, the Cincinnati Reds, and Bengals.  She also loved to play Euchre and travel with friends from the Delhi Community Senior and fishing weekends at their Lake Williamson Town KY cottage with her family, friends, and husband, John. Helen will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. “She is clothed with faith and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.”  Proverbs 31:25. She will rest in peace beside her husband, John, in Marietta, OH. Helen touched the lives of many. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister and dear friend to all who knew her. Helen had a way of always looking at the bright side and finding humor in her daily routines. She liked everyone and if you liked her back she loved you in return. Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, John W. Crimmel.  She will be missed as an adoring mom by her sons, Doug of Henderson, NV, Chuck (Debora) of Cincinnati, OH and Steve (Victoria) of Cambria, CA, and her sister, Mildred Stevens of Missouri, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Helen’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2 PM in the chapel of the First Baptist Church, Newtown Ohio, 6944 Main St. RT 32 45244.

The service will be under the direction of Rev. Roger Hauck.

There will be a celebration following the service at the Heritage Tasting Cottage 7664 Wooster Pike Cincinnati Oh.
