Gregory A Wolf

Gregory A. Wolf, affectionately known as "Julio" and "Pops," of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family by his side, on April 22, 2025, after a courageous five-year battle with lung cancer and COPD. He was born on February 25, 1949, and was a dedicated member of the Ford Motor Company, from which he retired after 48 years of hard work, often enduring 12-hour days and 6-day weeks.

A high school graduate from North College Hill, class of 1967, Greg was not just known for his work ethic but also for his vibrant personality. He was a man who loved to talk, bringing laughter and joy to those around him. Described as loyal, devoted, and one of a kind, he had a unique talent for delivering one-liners that never failed to amuse. Friends and family alike often remarked on his sense of humor, noting how funny he truly was.

Greg’s life was characterized by his deep love for his family. The cherished memories he created on family vacations, during his honeymoon, and in the roles of father and grandfather were treasures that he held dear. His love for his family and friends was evident in everything he did. He took great pride in being a father and grandfather, dedicating countless hours to create lasting bonds.

In addition to his family, Greg had a passion for spending time with friends and enjoying hobbies such as fishing, boating, bowling, playing euchre, watching NASCAR racing, and cheering for the Reds and Bengals. His devotion was also extended to his beloved dog, "Franky," demonstrating his kind-hearted nature toward all living beings.

Greg is survived by his devoted wife, Jody Wolf, with whom he shared 45 beautiful years of marriage; his two sons, Brandon Wolf (Tera) and Dusty Wolf (Kate & her daughter Liv), and his six grandchildren—Gabi "Beautiful", Tristen, Peyton, Myla "Sweetness", Parker, and Presley "Princess";  his brother, Jeff Wolf (Patty); sisters, Bobbie "Sis" Doxsey and Jan "Toots" Doxsey (Ricky); brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny and Linda Casteel, and Dave and Sandy Grau; as well as 25 nieces and nephews including spouses and 33 great nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his lifelong best friend, Johnny Rose (Sheila), along with many cherished friends from the Old "Budna Grill", American Legion Post #513, and Forever "Len's Inn".

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Charles Wolf and Barbara Wolf; his brother and sister-in-law, Denny and Barbie Wolf; his mother-in-law, JoAnn Casteel; brother-in-law Donnie "D" Doxsey; his nephews, Cortney Doxsey and Brett Bryant; and brother-in-law Tom Bryant.

Greg’s spirit and humor will continue to be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. Though he may no longer walk among us, the imprint he left on our hearts will endure eternally.
