Eduardo Moya Soloria

Eduardo M. Soloria MD, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away on November 13, 2024 in Cincinnati, OH at the age of 87. Born on November 20, 1936 in the Philippines, Eduardo was dedicated to his career as a physician and his pursuit of his craft led him to the United States in 1962.

 A graduate of the University of Santo Tomas, College of Medicine and Surgery in 1960, he spent two years as a college physician at the Samar Institute of Technology in Catarman, Samar in the Philippines before heading to the US in 1962. He was a rotating intern at Good Samaritan Hospital before becoming the Chief Surgical Resident there from 1966-1967. He spent time as a house physician at Bethesda Hospital and as the Employee Health Physician at Proctor and Gamble before moving to Christ Hospital in 1969 where he eventually became the Director of Emergency Medical Services until 1976. He moved on to St. George Hospital in 1976 working full time in the Emergency Room while expanding his service to include a part time private practice. In 1984 he moved on to Fort Hamilton Hughes Memorial Hospital where he eventually retired from medical practice to enjoy his other passions: traveling with his wife Heidi, music, dancing, tennis, golf and family.

 He is survived by his loving wife, Heidi (nee Herdt) Soloria, his children Steve (Sheila) Soloria, Dave (the late Denise) Soloria, Susie (Dave) Ott, Julie (Kevin) Taylor, Eddie (Carrie) Soloria, and Brian (Liz) Soloria and bonus children Danielle Cox, and Azure Embry. He was also very proud of his many grandchildren: Carmen, Gabrielle, Benjamin, Sarah, Olivia, Claire, Emma, Ava, Brenna, Leah, Ella, Vincent, Juliana, Evangeline, and Josette Soloria, David and Sophia Ott, Brody and Mason Taylor, and Tea and Diezel Cox. He was preceded in death by his parents Benito Soloria, Gloria (nee Moya) Soloria, survived by his sisters, Estrella (Jose) Delgadillo, Norma (Marvin) Flancman.

 The visitation will take place on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 9:00am to 11:00am at the Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home located at 2880 Boudinot Ave., Cincinnati, OH with a blessing service following at 11:00am. A brief burial service will be held at the mausoleum at St. Joseph Cemetery, 3819 W. Eighth St., Cincinnati, OH 45205.
