Daisy Terhar

Daisy L. Terhar, passed peacefully on May 23rd 2021, at the age of 95. She is the devoted wife of the late Louis F. Terhar. Loving mother of Lou (Debe) Terhar, Nancy (Frank) Terhar, Tina (Doug) Schack, Monica Terhar, Mark (Gretchen) Terhar, Julie (Chris) Schaber, Stacie (Fiancé Randall Locke), Kurt (Tina) Terhar and the late Greg (Meg) Terhar. Adored grandmother of Heather (Dave) Hindman, Evan (Stephanie) Terhar, Marc (Jen) Terhar, Louis Terhar III, Becky Bertram, Jeff Bertram, Craig Schack, Matt (April) Schack, Ben (Easley) Schack, Alexandra (Matthew) Maus, Maxwell (Catherine Potter) Terhar, Jared (Desi) Schaber, Chad (Katie) Schaber, Kathryn Schaber, Samuel Contreras, Lyle (Brittany) Terhar, Kevin Terhar, Molly (Jason) Re and Greg (Dawn) Terhar. She is also survived by 16 cherished great-grandchildren and a host of friends.

After graduation from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor’s Degree in Classics and a minor in Botany, Daisy spent a year teaching before she started raising a family. Daisy was a proud member of the Phi Mu Sorority, a nationally certified ceramics instructor and a member of the Westwood Women’s Club and was very active in the Oakdale and Bridgetown PTA, where she served as past-president. She was passionate about gardening and was an active member of the Herb Society of Greater Cincinnati, as well as the Western Hills Garden Club.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on June 5, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10 AM and she will be laid to rest beside her late husband at Spring Grove Cemetery.
