Cory J Deal

Cory J. Deal, age 30, passed away on December 17, 2017. He was born September 7, 1987, in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He was an outgoing and affable person who made friends wherever he went. Some of his favorite places were: Caldwell Zoo in Tyler, Texas, Urquhart Castle in Scotland, the Deer Creek High School football field in Oklahoma, and the Cincinnati Zoo.

He was a proud graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. Since 2011, he took great satisfaction in his career as a strategic communications project manager in the greater Cincinnati area.  

A true Renaissance man, he was equally happy in his favorite teams’ jerseys in the stands or in tie dye on a hike.

He will be missed tremendously by all those who loved him, especially his dad and mom, Mark and Kris, and his fiancée Mary Ellen “Mel”, as well as his many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Linda & Cliff Deal, Ellen O’Connor and Edward R. O’Connor.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Doctors Without Borders (the beneficiary of Cory’s charity fantasy football team), or Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center – Cincinnati, (where Mel does work of which Cory was very proud).

All are invited to a visitation on Friday, December 22, from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. at the Dalbert, Woodruff and Isenogle Funeral Home, 2880 Boudinot Ave at Queen City Ave. Visitors are encouraged to bring a copy of a photo or memento to share on a memory board.
