Claude Swanson Wilburn, Jr. was born November 3, 1943 in Washington D.C., the son of Claude Swanson Wilburn Sr. and Maude Hardy Wilburn. He was a graduate of Great Mills High School in Great Mills, Maryland. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Will retired from CG&E as a lineman. He moved to Southwest Georgia in 1999. Will loved to tinker and build things. He collected antiques so no one is surprised at his partiality to “old stuff”. He could cut a rug and always enjoyed traveling with his friends to the next dance venue. Some days you could find Will fishing and simply taking in the grandeur of God’s creation saying, “Just another day in paradise.” His personal philosophy was to “go fishing and eat more ice cream”. Survivors include his sons, Matthew Wilburn and his wife, Anne, and Richard Wilburn, all of Cincinnati, OH; his grandchildren, Cameron, Leah and Rose; and his siblings, Patricia Gatti of Jacksonville, FL, William Wilburn and his wife, Norma, of Virginia, and Betty Johnson and her husband, Loren, of Bainbridge, GA. Will was also preceded in death by his parents. www.dwifuneralhome.com
