Brian Tansey

Brian Tansey, 91, of Cincinnati Ohio, died on January 31, 2024. He was born in Cincinnati in 1932 to Bernard J. and Cecile (Sunman) Tansey. He was preceded in death by his sister Maureen (Tansey) Tokar. He is survived by three daughters from his first marriage, and by his daughter Eira Tansey from his second marriage. 

Brian attended Walnut Hills High School (1950), Columbia University (1954), and Louisville Presbyterian Seminary (1962). He served in the US Army from 1955 to 1958. Brian’s early career was dedicated to service as a Presbyterian minister. He later worked in long-term healthcare, nursing home administration, and elderly community services. In his final years, Brian lived in Twin Towers Senior Living Community. He enjoyed discussing politics and theology, and was a devoted reader of the works of Wendell Berry.
