Ann Hope Grear, 87, peacefully passed away on March, 9, 2017, at home with her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Carroll Vance Grear, loving daughter of the late Raymond and Amanda McIntosh. She is survived by her dear children Todd (and Brenda) Grear and Vana Grear; adoring grandchildren Andrew Grear, Rebecca Grear, Leah Brockman, Joshua (and Amy) Grear, Alicia Grear, Lauren Duwell, Lindsay Duwell, and Lizabeth Duwell; and cherished great grandchildren Owen Grear, Wyatt Grear, Haley Grear, and Hannah Grear.
Originally from Ashland, Kentucky, Ann moved with her mother and father to Cincinnati, Ohio at a young age. No matter where she went, her kindness and joy were infectious, creating and maintaining strong relationships throughout her life. From her time in Middletown, OH, her work with Oak Hills PTA, as a long time membership at Shiloh Untied Methodist Church, as a beloved secretary first at Price Hill Baptist Church and then Christ Hospital, her time at Drackett, to her membership and participation in numerous other community groups and functions, Ann built strong friendships. Even during her time with Hospice of Cincinnati, Ann displayed her rare ability to make people smile. Her ever present positive attitude and can do spirit will live on in the hearts of all she loved and who loved her. Please join us in celebrating a wonderful lady, and mourning the loss of a beautiful soul on Thursday, March 16 at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 5261 Foley Rd, 45238. Interment will follow service at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
