On Sunday November 29, 2020 Vernon G. Schroeder passed away at the age of 101. Vernon was preceded in death by his wife Rosemary (Gecks) in 1978 and Rita (Detzel) in 2008. Son to Herman and Lillian (Schwarber) Schroeder. Vern raised two sons, the late Jerry (Susan) Schroeder and Philip (Jackie) Schroeder. He was preceded in death by his brother Ken (Jean) Schroeder, and survived by his brothers Eugene (Felicia Bach) and Norbert (Betty) Schroeder. He is survived by loving grandchildren Mary Hoffmann, Kim Fioresi, Diane Davis, Jenny (Joe) Feeley, Kathy Sellers, Mark Schroeder and Lisa Schroeder. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Vern proudly served in the US Navy for two tours of duty. He served in the pacific theater during World War II earning a victory medal. He also served his country during the Korean War. After his service he owned a dental lab in Cincinnati. He enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, bowling, golfing, traveling, and playing cards.
Visitation will be from 8:00 until 9:00am Friday, December 4th at Dalbert, Woodruff and Isenogle Funeral Home (2880 Boudinot Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45238). A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of the Visitation Church (3172 South Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45248.)
