Ruth Anne Outcalt

Ruth Anne Outcalt, née Hawkins, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, at the age of 99.

Born on November 25, 1926, Ruth spent nearly her entire life in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she built a life devoted to family, education, and service to others.

Ruth was the beloved wife of Judge Peter Outcalt, with whom she shared 35 years of marriage until his passing on December 24, 1982. Together they built a loving family and a legacy that continues through their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Ruth lived a long and meaningful life centered on family, service, and education. As a devoted schoolteacher, she touched the lives of countless students over the course of her career, bringing patience, kindness, and a lifelong love of learning into her classroom. Above all else, she was a devoted mother whose love and guidance shaped generations of her family.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dudley Outcalt, who passed away on May 29, 2024, and her daughter-in-law, Yvonne Amrine, who passed away on June 12, 2026.

She is survived by eight grandchildren: Robert Eliason, Patricia Cook, Adam Outcalt, Julia Jeffery, Emily Kulkarni, Mark Outcalt, Sarah Daniel, and Michael Outcalt.

She was also blessed with ten great-grandchildren: Noah Outcalt, Benjamin Outcalt, Liam Outcalt, Quinn Daniel, Jordan Daniel, Ruby Outcalt, Omi Kulkarni, Brandon Eliason, Dana Eliason, and Lexi Eliason, all of whom brought her tremendous joy.

Those who knew Ruth will remember her for her quiet strength and unwavering devotion to her family. She witnessed nearly a century of remarkable change and met each chapter with resilience, grace, and gratitude.

Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished, the students she taught, and the many lives she touched throughout her lifetime. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, former students, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The family extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who offered their love, prayers, and support during this time.

A visitation in honor of Ruth will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home, located at 2880 Boudinot Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45238. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to honor Ruth's memory do so by spending time with loved ones, extending kindness to others, or supporting education in their own communities—values that she embodied throughout her life.
