Ronald "Keith" Heustis, a devoted family man and retired sound engineer, passed away on April 1, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born on November 10, 1939, in Minford, Ohio, Keith lived a life marked by dedication to both his craft and his loved ones.
Keith enjoyed a fulfilling career at WLWT, where he applied his expertise as a sound engineer. His work behind the scenes contributed significantly to the quality of broadcasts, reflecting his commitment to excellence and professionalism. Upon retirement, Keith found joy and purpose in tending to his lawn, a pastime he took great pride in. He was also known for cultivating tomatoes, which he generously shared with family and friends, a testament to his nurturing spirit.
Family was at the heart of Keith’s life. He cherished his role as a husband, father, and grandfather, embodying the qualities of love and devotion throughout his lifetime. He is survived by his beloved wife, Donna S. Heustis (nee Wellman); daughters Debbie (Bill) Hunter and Shari (Steve) Spry; and grandchildren Seth (Sammi) Winter, Noah (Alissa) Hunter, Emma Hunter, Nicholas Spry, and Kaylie Spry. Keith also leaves behind a loving extended family and many dear friends who will remember him fondly.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Myrle and Irma Heustis; his sister, Merilyn Smith; and his half-sister, Jeanne Marie Teale.
Family, friends, and all who knew Keith are invited to pay their respects and celebrate his life at the Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home, located at 2880 Boudinot Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45238. Visitation will be held on April 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., followed immediately by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m.
Ronald "Keith" Heustis's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him. His dear family, both near and far, and the broad circle of friends he touched are left to honor and remember a man who truly valued the bonds of family and friendship above all else.
