Mary Ann Hudepohl, cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully departed this world January 22, 2026, at the age of 97, surrounded by her beloved children in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she was born on November 28, 1928.
Mary Ann, known affectionately as “Ga” to her grandchildren, was the former owner of The Cedar Chest, a consignment thrift shop that reflected her vibrant spirit and keen sense of community. She dedicated much of her life to serving others, volunteering at her church, the Aronoff Center, and Xavier University, embodying a generous heart that touched many lives.
Mary Ann’s immense love for her family was matched only by her various interests and hobbies. Whether it was playing cards, indulging in a little gambling, or cheering fervently for her favorite basketball and football teams, she embraced joy in every moment. Gardening, bowling, and golfing were among her favorite pastimes, offering her a canvas for both creativity and camaraderie. Her whimsical nature and zest for life will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Mary Ann's family was her pride and joy. She is survived by her devoted children: Gayle (Mike) Naseef, Gary (Debbie Roche) Hudepohl, David (Stacy) Hudepohl, Peggy (Steve) Dulle, Pat (Lori) Hudepohl, Paul (Julie) Hudepohl, and Michael (Terry) Hudepohl. Her legacy continues through her cherished 15 grandchildren: Morgan (Josh) Secrest, Ashley Naseef, Leah (Mike) Weimer, Lyndsey (Josh) Feldkamp, Zak Hudepohl, Ellie Hudepohl, Jason (Erin) Dulle, Brandon (Katie) Dulle, Cory Dulle, Cory Hudepohl, Taylor Hudepohl, Eleanor Hudepohl, Noah Hudepohl, Maggie Hudepohl, and Ethan Hudepohl, along with her 11 great-grandchildren: Finley Mason; Marcella, Louis, and Rosemarie Weimer; Lillian, Lucy, Rory, and Remington Feldkamp; Caroline, Amelia, and Matthew Dulle.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Louis B. Hudepohl II, and her son, Glenn Hudepohl, as well as her parents, Mary and Edwin Hey. Also awaiting her in eternal rest are her sisters-in-law, Betty and Ed Burke, Jayne and Walter Latsch, and her dear companion “Spike.”
Mary Ann Hudepohl will be honored during a visitation on January 30, 2026, from 9:30 to 10:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 1175 Overlook Ave., 45238. Her warm spirit, unwavering faith, and love of life will resonate in the hearts of many, reminding us all of the beauty that comes from living a spiritually rich and joy-filled life.
