Jerome “Buns” Jones passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jerry attended Holy Cross grade school where he met Mary Farwick and graduated from Central High School. The two were married on September 8th, 1962, beginning a loving partnership that lasted sixty-three years.

Jerry worked hard every day to make sure his eight children had the best life possible, sometimes working three jobs at a time. He had many jobs including delivering dry cleaning in Mount Adams with his brother Ron, Wilson Freight, Lenox Trucking, driving a bus for Martini’s Bus Service, Purolator, Ed’s Tavern, being a Terminal Manager at CSX Intermodal, and working for Meals on Wheels until 2017 in post-retirement.

Jerry was preceded in death by parents Joseph and Catherine, and siblings Marion, Clifford, Dorothy, Robert, Jeanette, Thomas, Ronald, and Elaine.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary; children: Janice (Bob) Huesman, Jerry (Tami) Jones, Joe Jones, Jenny (Larry) Bethel, Jason (Maureen) Jones, Jeanna (Mike) Bethel, Julie (Chuck) Crusham, and Jess (Mark) Davidson; grandchildren: Josh (Lynn) and Zach (Lauren) Huesman, Jeremy and Meredith Jones, Joe and Samantha Jones, Blake, Brooke, and Cate Bethel, Parker Bethel, Allie, Charlie, and Audrey Crusham, and Charles Davidson; great grandchildren: Carson Huesman.

The family will celebrate Jerry’s life with a Visitation from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday February 3rd at the Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home, 2880 Boudinot Ave., 45238. Followed by a 10am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Dominic Church on Wednesday February 4th, 4551 Delhi Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45238. He will be entombed at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 11000 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45249.
