IN LOVING MEMORY OF
George B.
Glandorf
March 21, 1930 – February 9, 2026
George B. Glandorf, a devoted family man and a steadfast pillar of strength, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026, at the age of 95, in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he was born on March 21, 1930 to George and Rose (nee Pohlkamp) Glandorf, who have predeceased him. With a career spanning over 50 years at the Geiler Company, George was known not only for his unwavering dedication but also for his gentle spirit and kindness. He was fiercely devoted to his work family at Geiler, and this commitment was only rivaled by his devotion to his own family.
George was a man of simple pleasures, finding joy in the happiness of those he loved. His daughter, Maureen Roth, fondly remembers how he always had time to play with her as a child, never tiring or too busy to engage in the cherished moments that made up their lives together. He was there to support her during significant times, even battling his own challenges to be part of her wedding day, showcasing a father’s unparalleled love and commitment.
Armed with a Master’s Degree from Xavier University, George was not only a hardworking professional but also a deeply thoughtful individual. He was never known to utter an unkind word about anyone, embodying a peaceful demeanor and a spirit filled with grace. His faith was an integral part of his life; a devoted Catholic, he found solace and strength within his beliefs and his family.
Throughout his life, George actively pursued hobbies that delighted him, whether it was watching Fox News, playing tennis, or vacationing with his wife, Elizabeth M. Glandorf, who he cherished until her passing. His love for reading, classical music, and musicals brought added depth to his days, filling them with enjoyment and inspiration.
Despite the adversities he faced—including overcoming cancer not once but twice—George exemplified resilience and bravery, qualities that resonated deeply within him and inspired those around him. His proudest accomplishments included working until the remarkable age of 95, showcasing his commitment and passion.
George’s family includes cherished living relatives who will forever remember him: his daughter, Maureen (Lawrence) Roth; his siblings, Marion Mitchell, Frank Glandorf, and Paul Glandorf; and his sisters-in-law, Lois and Charlene Glandorf. They stand united in their love and admiration for a man whose legacy will undoubtedly live on in their hearts.
While George is survived by many, he joins his beloved wife, Elizabeth, his brother, Carl Glandorf, Sr. and his brother-in-law, Thomas Mitchell, Sr. in eternal peace. His absence leaves a void that resonates with profound love and memories etched in time.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the ‘earth angels’ from Christ Hospital - Hospice of Cincinnati, whose loving support and compassion made George's final days serene and peaceful. A very special thank you to Dr. David Schmidt and Dr. Bharat Avirneni for your care and compassion, not only for George, but the entire family. The family would also like to acknowledge Visiting Angels (Melissa and Elvedina) for your love and support during this time.
A visitation in honor of George will be held on February 13, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila in Cincinnati, followed by a Mass at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest at Saint Joseph Cemetery following a burial at 12:30 PM.
George B. Glandorf was a gentle, kind soul whose love for family, commitment to his faith, and enduring spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. He fought long and hard to remain with his loved ones, exemplifying his deep connection to those he cherished. Though he may no longer walk among us, the warmth of his love will forever illuminate our hearts.
