Genevieve "Gennie" "Aunt Bee" Holt

Gennie Holt, age 88, and oldest of five children, passed away on Wednesday December 24, 2025 at 10:48 am at her home in Cincinnati, Ohio, attended by her husband, David, and three children, Audrey, Vickie and David Jr.

Gennie was a vivacious, energetic and industrious country girl who worked hard and succeeded at a variety of professions and became a successful realtor with Coldwell Banker for 35 years. She had a deep love for her family, friends and Clifton SDA Church family. She was an avid reader of the Bible and ever involved in church activities and events. She was always there for anyone who needed her, beloved and appreciated by all. 

Among her many pursuits in life, when young, she first worked as a dance instructor for Arthur Murray Studios, RCA, and then a manager of Slend-O-Form Studios in downtown Cincinnati. Soon, she became an endearing waitress at The Lookout House and Beverly Hills Supper Club while she achieved her AA and then became a Realtor. She even worked part-time at Proctor & Gamble, the U.S. Post Office, as a home health aid, and even as a driving instructor for teenagers! What a dynamo!

Those who knew her saw the kindest, most gentle, generous and loving person-always there to listen, guide and comfort all who needed her. As a nature and animal lover, she was always nurturing dogs and cats and feeding birds and squirrels, along with kids! So very easy to love! She is so very missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She is survived by David, her husband of 67 years, her three children, Audrey (Ron), Vickie and David Jr., two grandson, Jason (Mari) and A.J. (Taylor), and two great grandchildren, Ashlyn and Ethan, (and on on the way, due in June), one sister, Linda, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister, Evelyn, and her brothers, Jim and Rex. She is is loved by all who knew her and a large number of friends who are dear and have become family! We anxiously await Jesus' return so we can all be together again! Rest in peace Granny! We love you! 

Friends and family are invited to attend a Visitation on Tuesday December 30th from 11 AM to 1 PM, followed by a 1 PM Funeral Service at the Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home, 2880 Boudinot Ave., 45238.

Burial to follow the Funeral Service at St. Joseph New Cemetery.
