Frank Theodore Wagner, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on August 26, 2026, at the age of 94.
Known throughout his life as Ted, he spent his childhood and early adult years in South Fairmount. In his younger years, he was employed by Goodwill for nine years, an experience that gave him the opportunity to be around others and take part in his community. Ted later made his home at the Manney House for more than two decades, where he enjoyed spending time with his large extended family and formed many lasting friendships.
Ted had a genuinely kind and gentle spirit. He held no malice toward anyone and greeted those around him with warmth and a smile. He found great happiness in life's simple pleasures and especially enjoyed spending time with the people he loved. Ted loved all holidays, but Christmas held a special place in his heart.
Among Ted's favorite things were trucks and trains. He could happily spend hours watching them on television, and they never seemed to lose their ability to capture his attention and bring a smile to his face. It was one of the simple joys that those who knew Ted will always remember about him.
Ted is survived by his sister-in-law, Bettye Wagner; eight nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and many great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Wagner and Clara Wagner; his brothers, August Wagner and Robert Wagner; and his sister, Mary Atchley.
Ted will be deeply missed by his family, his beloved Manney House family, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle nature, big smile, and the happiness he brought to those around him.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 31, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home, 2880 Boudinot Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45238. A brief funeral service will follow the visitation.
Ted will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery, 3819 W. 8th Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45205.
