Elizabeth “Liz” Anne McGary, a lifelong resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away in Cincinnati on October 21, 2026. She was born in Cincinnati on May 26, 1954, and remained deeply connected to the city throughout her life.

Liz will be remembered as someone who never knew a stranger. She had an easy way with people and a warmth that made others feel welcome right away. She was a devoted friend to countless friends, and the relationships she built over the years were a lasting part of her life. She loved fashion and retail, interests that reflected her eye for style and her enjoyment of connecting with others. She was also a dog lover, and that affection was one more way she shared her caring nature. True to herself, Liz never liked having a fuss made about things, and she carried herself with a simple grace that those who knew her will long remember.

She is survived by her life companion, Roland Lewis. She is also lovingly remembered by her nephews Brian (Katie) Bromwell and Drew Bromwell. Their lives were touched by her presence, her friendship, and the steady affection she gave so freely.

Liz was preceded in death by her father, Stanley McGary; her mother, Tina (nee LaRose) McGary; and her sister, Lu Bromwell.
