Betty Schwartz (nee Elizabeth Joan Brufach) passed away quietly in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 6, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on April 30, 1932, Betty lived a long and fulfilling life that was dedicated to her family. Betty was a devoted mother to her five surviving children Jim, Barbara Belle, Tom, Rick and Peggy Sullivan. She was a proud grandmother of fifteen grandchildren along with twenty-eight great-grandchildren who all adored her. She was predeceased by her loving husband Robert H. (Bob) and son Robert A. (Bobby).
Betty thrived on being with family whenever she had the opportunity to visit them in person, whether near or far. She also loved the gatherings of family and friends on special occasions or whenever the opportunity presented itself. She especially enjoyed family vacations when her children and grandchildren were growing up.
In addition to being a devoted family member, Betty was an active member of Saint Martin’s parish, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She also was very active in Cub Scouts at St. Martin’s, where she was a tireless leader and role model to her children, as well as many others in the Cheviot community. She valued this extended family.
Betty will be greatly missed.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, December 22, 2025 beginning 10:30 AM at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 3720 St. Martin’s Place, Cincinnati, OH 45211. After the mass, a procession to St. Aloysius Gonzaga Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband. A Celebration of Life will then follow the burial at Harvest Home Park Lodge, 3961 N. Bend Road, Cincinnati, OH 45211.
