Arthur “Art” Schneider, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away from complications of pneumonia in Cincinnati, Ohio, on July 24, 2026. He was 77 years old and departed just weeks after celebrating his golden 50th wedding anniversary with his cherished wife, Becky. 

His life was filled with kindness, intelligence, devotion to service, and deep love for his family, leaving an enduring legacy that will be treasured by all who knew him.

Born on January 12, 1949, in Cincinnati, Art grew up in Mariemont, graduating from Mariemont High School with the Class of 1967. Art continued his academic pursuits at Dartmouth College, a testament to his intellectual gifts, then proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam conflict before ultimately graduating from Cincinnati Bible College in 1978 and Cincinnati Christian Seminary in 1988.

Faith, service, and ministry to others were the anchors of Art's life. He was a devoted member of the Mission Team at his church and participated in several mission trips, extending his hand and heart far beyond the boundaries of his community in pursuit of his passion for serving others. Art also gave generously of his time as a volunteer at St. Francis–St. George Hospital and Mercy West Hospital, providing comfort and support to countless individuals.

Art’s broad interests included avid reading of biographies, a love of all things French, an appreciation for art and classical music, and enjoyment of proofreading and word games. Friends and family alike valued his unwavering kindness, his intellect, his faith and devotion to Christ, and his love for his family and community, rooted in his genuine desire to build relationships with others.

Art is survived by his devoted wife, Becky, with whom he shared five decades of partnership, love, and life. He was a proud and loving father to his daughters, Rachel (John) Welch and Emily Schneider, and to his son, Andrew (Michelle) Schneider. Art’s legacy continues in his adored grandchildren: Kylie and Wesley Welch; Olivia, Jordan, Flint, Michael, and Holden Schneider. He is also survived by his brother, Stephen Schneider; his cousins; his extended family; and many dear friends whose lives have been enriched by his presence.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rudolph Schneider, his mother, Arley Schneider, and his grandson, Grayson Schneider, whose memory he cherished.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home, 2880 Boudinot Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45238, offering an opportunity for family and friends to gather in remembrance and support. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Whitewater Crossing Christian Church, 5771 OH-128, Cleves, OH 45002. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45232.

Those who mourn Art’s passing will remember his compassion, his commitment to service, and the unshakable bonds of love he forged throughout his life. His kindness, gentle spirit, and easygoing nature will be deeply missed.
