Dennis G. Rebennack

Dennis G. Rebennack, 73 passed suddenly on July 13, 2021.

Dennis, or “Den” as he was affectionately known, was the son of Helen and George Rebennack (proceeded in death), devoted husband to Barbara Rebennack (nee Thompson). He was the loving father of Greg (Jenny), Jen (Rick) Baltzersen and Mark (Angela), cherished grandfather of Zach (Ali), Brandon (Kara), Noah, Elliette, Emmett and Esme and his special great-grand daughter, Boston. Den was a loving brother to Pat (Tom) Simmons.

Den was a Vietnam Veteran, volunteer, sports coach, runner, golfer, a leader and a vessel of love. His Christian values were a guidepost for many.

Den loved being the Associate and Youth Pastor at Shiloh UMC where he touched the lives of many people and led them to a deeper relationship with Christ.

He was an incredible man who lived his life through love, kindness, caring and faith in the Lord.

A celebration of Den's life will take place on Saturday September 25th 2021 at 1 pm at Shiloh United Methodist Church 5261 Foley Road Cincinnati, Ohio 45238.

The family requests for all attendees to wear a mask.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Shiloh UMC Youth Group in memory of Pastor Den.

I'm so sorry I won't be able to attend Den's celebration of life, as I will be out of the state. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.

I knew Den through the Greater Cincinnati Emmaus Community. He and I served on a number of Emmaus teams together. Our call to set apart vocational ministry within the UMC came very near the same time. He was a humble servant leader, teacher, preacher and counselor. A caring and compassionate man. His light shined brightly. My prayers are with his wife Barb, his children and grandchildren. Rev. Dave Weaver

I am so saddened to hear this! Den and I went through our supervised years together. Our trip to DC is a memory I cherish. He was an amazing man, and a good and faithful servant.

Den was one of the finest persons I have ever met. He was kind, thoughtful, hard working, dedicated, wise and filled with faith in Jesus. I worked with him for twelve years and found him to be a person of quiet integrity and confidence. He left a secure job, taking a leap of faith to follow a calling by God to be the youth pastor at Shiloh United Methodist Church. He was loved and respected by the hundreds of youth who came to the youth group and after school ministries over the years Den served at Shiloh. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was an inspiration and blessing to me all the years we worked together at Shiloh. I am confident that Den is now at rest in that eternal home God has prepared. I send my sincere sympathy to Barb and the rest of the family and friends of Den. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
